This auction is for a vintage Old Dutch Delft Blue and White Tobacco Jar.
The words "Cesare Borgia" are marked across the front.
Cesare Borgia Duke of Valentinois, was an Italian Condottiero, nobleman, politician and cardinal. He was the son of Pope Alexander VI.
The image on the front is of two figures of Indians holding tobacco leaves and smoking long stem pipes.
This little treasure is 4" h and with the brass cover 5" h. It has a 2 1/2" diameter on the bottom and 3" on the top.
The bottom is marked with a crown Royal Goldewaagen Blue Delft Holland #1421
