RC Rosenthal DELFT VERSAILLES Porcelain Sugar Bowl w Lid GERMANY Windmill Ships

Description

This beautiful DELFT VERSAILLES porcelain covered sugar bowl by Rosenthal Continental (RC) Germany is wonderfully executed in multiple shades of blue on a white background. A windmill figures prominently on both the lid and base. A few ships can be seen around the periphery as well.  It possibly dates to the early 1900s.
The bowl is 2 3/4" tall without the lid. The top of the bowl is 3 1/4" in diameter, and it gently flares out to 4" in diameter at the base. Both the lid and base are irregular; the lid's rim is gently embossed as well.
The lid has two small chips to the rim (see pictures) -- but because of the way the coloring of the sky is represented, the chips are very hard to find. The lid has a small dark dot on the underside. The base has no chips. Both pieces are free of scratches, cracks,  and crazing.
