Antique DELFT Porceleyne Fles PAIR of Rare Vases

Often time here on eBay one sees the word "RARE" in an offering. THIS offering is indeed a rare find: not just one, but a matched PAIR of one of the least seen forms and decorations of antique Porceleyne Fles vases. Smaller items are less seen as the larger ones...repeated cleanings over the years subject them to more chances of damage. THIS pair of vases is in perfect, antique condition...no chips, cracks, hairlines or whatever. They are both painted by the same artist and in the same year: Jean Henri Schuilenburg in 1897 (S).124 years old! In the 50 years I have collected PF, I have only seen a very few of these vases and never a pair until I acquired these...and not seen since either. I dare not say you will never see another pair like these, but I would bet it won't be anytime soon! They stand 6 3/4" tall and the top of these trumpeter vases has a diameter of 4"; the bottom, 2 7/8". They have 5 sides in the middle section and the painting is continuous all the way around each vase. The vases each have a similar but not identical scene of trees, buildings and boats. I really have always liked the small draw bridge pictured on one...reminds me of a famous such bridge in Amsterdam called the "Skinny bridge" (Magere Brug).  Together they weigh about 1# 7 ounces UNpacked.
